Drones, bionic arms & more: Orlando Science Center’s Otronicon event homes in on local startups

A popular high-tech event hosted by Orlando Science Center typically attracts exhibits by big companies such as Lockheed Martin Corp. and EA Tiburon to show off the latest in simulation and digital entertainment.

And this year, for the first time, the Orlando Science Center’s 12-year-old Otronicon tech event also will feature smaller local companies’ innovative ideas and products to show off Orlando’s creative side in what it’s calling the O-Tech Startup Showcase.

Over the course of the four-day event which runs Jan. 18-21, eight startups will present their services at Otronicon — an event that typically attracts 15,000 attendees.
