Another co-working firm is headed to downtown Orlando — and this one is set to be the biggest the city has seen.
Chicago-based Novel Coworking LLC closed on the $13.7 million purchase of the 100-year-old Angebilt Building at 37 N. Orange Ave. on Jan. 3. Bill Bennett, founder of Novel Coworking, told Orlando Business Journal that Novel initially will renovate 30,000 square feet of the 100,323-square-foot, 11-story building, but eventually the entire building will be a dedicated co-working space.
“Several millions of dollars will go into renovations and we are working on final design plans and bids for contractors,” Bennett said. “Renovations will happen within the coming months, and the 30,000-square-foot space will open by late summer.”
