So how exactly will Orlando-based tech firm FlexReceipts spend the $1.4 million it raised?
FlexReceipts LLC, which helps retailers engage with their customers after purchases with interactive receipts, closed a $1.4 million Series A funding round led by venVelo, a Winter Park-based early-stage venture fund. The company currently has seven employees and is revenue-positive, with brands such as GNC, Margaritaville, Vitamin Shoppe and Beats by Dre using the receipts.
“A good chunk will go into sales and marketing, hiring new sales folks, more feet on the streets from that perspective,” said Tomas Diaz, CEO of FlexReceipts. “We’ll be going to a lot more retailer conferences.” Read more here.
