Software engineering, also known as computer coding, is a job in high demand in Florida.
But while state universities and colleges are cranking out graduates, they’re not doing so fast enough. And even with the number of graduates with those degrees, more are needed for that specialty.
Orlando-based computer software firm DiSTI Corp. is one local company that has had trouble filling open jobs. “The volume coming out of the university system is not keeping pace with the demand that is out here for the industry,” Scott Ariotti, director of global marketing for DiSTI, previously told Orlando Business Journal.
