At Kennedy Space Center, Pence touts commercial space and regulatory reform

Calling SpaceX’s recent Falcon Heavy rocket launch “very impressive indeed,” Vice President Mike Pence on Wednesday at Kennedy Space Center praised commercial space advances and called for updated regulations to help the industry.

For example, Pence told the National Space Council, rockets shouldn’t have to seek new licenses to launch from two different states, or even two pads a few miles apart on Cape Canaveral.
