Tampa-based Florida Venture Forum — the state’s largest organization for investors and entrepreneurs —is holding its 12th annual Florida Early Stage Capital Conference in Orlando and a few local firms have a shot at getting a big investment.
The two-day May 9-10 event is being held at Omni Orlando Resort at 1500 Masters Blvd, Championsgate. Part of the event, filled with more than a dozen speakers engaged in the startup and venture capital community, includes a workshop, two panel discussions about entrepreneurial success and a venture pitch competition.
The conference features 20 entrepreneurs pitching their business to investors for a chance to win part of a total $100,000 investment. Of the 20 firms, four are based in Central Florida:
